Unami Fish & Game and LAA require all pool league players to be both Unami and LAA club members. Sign up/renew your membership at your next regularly scheduled match.

Cost for membership at Unami is $12 ($7 to renew). New members will receive a 2008 membership card.

Cost for membership at LAA is $20 for new members, $10 for renewals. New members will receive a 2008 membership card after approval at November's General Meeting.

 

Matches are Wednesday nights, beginning at 7 PM,

at Unami Fish & Game Ass'n, 2nd St., Emmaus.

 


POOL TABLE RULES

1. Practice

1. Home team 6:00–6:30; visiting team 6:30–7:00; Play starts at 7:00 PM.

2. Team line-up

1. A team must have 2 players present or the team will forfeit the match.

2. Player cannot play two games in a row.

3. Each player on the team must shoot as equal a numbers of games as possible.

4. If a player is present he or she must play. (If you are too ill to play you are too ill to be out.) Officers can make an exception to this.

5. When a player is late for a match, he or she must be able to play. (Refer to rule 2.3 for remaining games.)

6. Teams can only place a team player's name on the line-up sheet if the player is present.

7. If a team is to change their line-up, the other team can change their line-up too.

3. Absence

1. Any player who misses 3 consecutive matches will be dropped from the league. (President may make exception for extraordinary circumstances.)

4. Home team racks 1st

1. Game winner breaks after each game.

5. 8 Ball on the break

1. Wins game unless cue scratches, then loss of game.

6. After the break

1. If a single ball is made, it is yours.

2. If one of each is made, table is open & next player must call shot.

3. If two of one and one of the other are made, majority rules, whether you scratch or not.

7. Call all shots

1. Ball and pocket (Must be voiced or results in loss of turn).

8. Fouls

1. WHEN FOUL OCCURS, OPPONENT MUST SAY “FOUL.”

2. Touch any ball before or after shooting. (Results: Loss of turn)

3. No jump shots. (Results: Loss of turn)

4. No foreign objects on table. (Results: Loss of turn)

5. No helping team player unless asked for by shooter. (Shooter must ask for a time-out.)

6. Only two time-outs per game. Player can ask anyone for help, but only one person can help the player at any one time. If the helper needs to have a conference with a second helper, then the shooter has to step aside out of ear shot of the conference. Only the first helper can relay the information to the shooter.

7. No harassing or intimidating the shooter! President will give one warning to that person. If harassment/intimidation continues, player will be dropped from league.

8. All conflicts will be resolved by the President the night of play.

9. Combo shots

1. While table remains open after break, any and all combos may be played.

2. After balls are claimed, combos must be made off your own ball or the 8-ball.

10. Spotting balls

1. If all balls are behind the string line on a scratch, the lowest number ball may be spotted (Shooter's option). Player does not have to shoot the spotted ball.

2. When spotting a ball, if there is already a ball on the spot, you must then place the ball being spotted behind the ball on the spot.

3. It is the shooter's option if they want to spot any balls.

11. Rail rules

1. At least one ball on table must hit a rail or shot is a scratch (unless object ball is made).

2. If called shot is not made and no balls hit rail, opponent has option of playing cue ball where it lays or calling scratch.

3. When object ball is 8-ball and rule 11.1 applies, the scratch is not a lost game, but opponent has option of playing cue ball where it lays or from behind string line. if shooter chooses to play cue ball from behind string line and all his balls are also behind string line, shooter may choose to have his lowest ball spotted. The shooter does not have to shoot the spotted ball.

1. Is allowed.

13. 8 Ball rules

1. When shooting the 8-ball, the pocket must be marked with the marker or coaster. Shooter does not have to call shot but must mark pocket. Team members one or all can remind the shooter to mark the pocket. (Consequences of not marking pocket: If 8-ball does not go in, loss of turn, if 8-ball goes in, loss of game.)

2. 8-ball is neutral.

3. Scratch on 8-ball. (Results: Loss of game)

4. Foul on 8-ball and 8-ball goes in. (Results: Loss of game)

5. Foul on 8-ball and 8-ball does not go in. (Results: Loss of turn)

6. You do not have to hit the 8-ball.

14. Beer frame

1. (5th Game) $1.00 to be paid to each person on the winning team, whether all your team is present or not.

15. Awards

1. Each player must play 45 games to qualify for year-end awards. (Officers may change this number.)

16. Dues

1. Each shooter will pay a total of $40.00 in dues for the season.

2. Dues must be paid by 6th week of play or shooter will be dropped from league.

3. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.

17. Captains

1. The team Captain will be responsible for team’s conduct.

18. Officers

1. Will have the final say in interpreting the rules.

2. Will have the right to impose penalties.
